The "Elegance Unleashed: Jin Yong's Wuxia Fashion Exhibition" serves as a platform to showcase the rich imagination and boundless creativity of local fashion talents while also supporting Hong Kong's fashion industry. The exhibition aims to inspire the different segments of society, especially the younger generations, with the unique charms and timeless values residing in Jin Yong's priceless literary treasures — and in doing so, preserving his legacy well into the future.

William Tang
William Tang, a well-known local fashion designer. Despite studying abroad during your age, William is celebrated for seamlessly infusing Eastern influences into his designs. His work has continuously amazed the fashion industry, ranging from the “Peasant” collection with a strong Chinese cultural impression to the iconic "Emperor of Kowloon" collection, each a testament to his pioneering spirit and ability to exceed expectations time to time.
William is just like others, growing up reading Jin Yong’s novels and found his favorite - "The Smiling, Proud Wanderer". Especially the main character Linghu Chong, whose resilience and purity mirror his own creative journey. Just as Linghu Chong masters diverse martial arts techniques, William's multidimensional pursuits in fashion, writing, and hosting reflect his unwavering commitment to sartorial excellence.
In this exhibition, William promised a fresh interpretation of the famous duo Linghu Chong and Ren Yingying from "The Smiling, Proud Wanderer" through his fashion lens.
Kay Kwok
Kay Kwok, a well-known figure in the fashion industry, who was the first Hong Kong menswear designer to showcase at London Fashion Week. Alongside his fashion design accomplishments, Kay Kwok name gone viral after collaborated with pop diva Beyoncé and other international brands, artists and musicians.
Kay launched his ‘Phygital’ fashion brand - KWK by Kay Kwok in 2022. Genderless, digital, experimental and confronting in their artistry and aesthetic, KWK collections challenge convention in all dimensions. Circumventing tradition and abolishing stereotypes, the brand is boldly, unapologetically, digitally avant-garde and futuristic.
In this exhibition, Kay imagine beyond boundaries by setting two Jin Yong’s classic work “The Eagle-shooting Heroes” characters - Guo Jing and Mei Chaofeng living in 2100. To reimagine the two characters with his signature blend of futuristic aesthetic and artisanal craftmanship.
PONDER:ER
PONDER.ER, the brainchild of the creative duo Alex Po and Derek Cheng, boldly challenges gender stereotypes and deconstructs social norms. The gender-fluid label unearths the romantic potential of classic staples by embracing delicate textiles and reconstructed design elements.
Earning reputation and international recognition, PONDER.ER was recognized as one of the '10 Asian Designers To Watch' by Fashion Asia Hong Kong in 2022, and got shortlisted as a semi-finalist for the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers this year.
At the “Elegance Unleashed: Jin Yong’s Wuxia Fashion Exhibition”, PONDER.ER aimed to unveil the multifaceted and unapologetic personalities of characters, reimagination of the two iconic villainous characters Ah Zi and Ding Chunqiu from Jin Yong’s novels through brand’s one-of a kind textile technique.
Vince Leung
Vince is the uprising local fashion design talent with a master degree in Textile and Fashion Design from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Throughout Vince‘s career, he meticulously and artfully combines sophistication with eastern cultural elements.
Vince’s design elegantly fuses refined aesthetics with a hit of sustainable principles. His unique design and outstanding talent has been recognized by the lifestyle magazine Vogue Thailand during his participation in JUXTAPOSED 2023 Hong Kong Fashion in Bangkok.
At the exhibition, citizens were able to witness Vince's artistry - a fusion of layers and design elements, showcasing the charisma of two distinct characters, Yue Buqun and Oboi, from the classic Jin Yong's novel.
Yat Pit
Yat Pit, the renowned local fashion brand founded by Jason Mui and Onying Lai in 2015, has been looking to revive Chinese culture and fashion since their establishment.
Yat Pit's creations possess a distinctive charm, always imbued with a strong local flavor yet a hint of playfulness. The brand excels in reusing, deconstructing, and recreating traditional garments, continuously experimenting with the fusion of Eastern and Western elements to achieve a harmonious and innovative blend.
At the exhibition, Yat Pit reimagined the two iconic characters – Dongfang Bubai and Huang Yaoshi into today’s world and bring them to life.
